Like many people, we love being on boats. But like many, we don’t always have access to them or know how to go about renting. That’s why we created an easy to use marketplace where people can list, find and book privately owned boats from all over the world, with the ultimate goal of making boat rentals easy, fun and accessible to everyone.

Whether you are experienced or new to boating, Sailo offers the possibility to view, compare and book boats and captains in minutes, whether it is for an hour, day or week, and at a variety of price points.

And with our open marketplace for licensed captains and $1 million insurance, we offer the easiest and safest way for owners to monetize their boats and showcase them to thousands of enthusiasts.

MEET THE TEAM

Adrian Gradinaru

Founder and CEO

Adrian is the inspiration behind Sailo. He not only drives the company vision, strategy and growth, but also oversees the technical aspect. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School, and MS in electrical engineering from Stanford and a Bachelor of Science from Duke University, and has held multiple senior engineering positions in Silicon Valley. When not driving the business, you can find him running in Central Park or biking around the West Village.

Magda Marcu

Co-founder and Head of Finance & Operations

Magda makes sure everybody on the team gets his or her shit done. She is passionate about designing processes and crunching numbers. She holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a law degree from Romania, and has held several management positions in startups, as well as Fortune 100 companies. Working or not working on her business, she is wearing just the right fabulously funky shoes.

Delphine Braas

Co-founder and Head of Marketing

Delphine ensures that Sailo’s name is anchored in thousands of people’s minds and hearts. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in International Hospitality Management from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, and has held various sales and marketing roles at both multinational companies and technology startups, as well as worked in venture capital. When not spreading the Sailo joy, she is roaming food markets in search of new recipes.

Bogdan Batog

Co-founder and Head of Engineering

Bogdan is scaling the engineering to address all technical challenges that arise with Sailo’s rapid growth. He holds a MSc in Computer Science from Politehnica University Bucharest and has held many senior engineering positions in software companies across Europe. He prefers shorts to business suits, spends most of his free time outdoors and has recently started taking sailing lessons.
